[STM 5] 7 Habits of Successful People

 

thumb-successAs is said, “Habits are safer than rules you don’t have to watch them or keep them they keep you”.  Success is closely in link with habits which enables successful people to achieve their goals efficiently and effectively.

What is Success?

Success is a science that we can create our own, most people don’t realize they can create their own success. One question has bothered many, why some people are more successful than others and some are confined to humble surroundings? It can’t get crazier when we see people dolt than us are more successful, they have better jobs, nicer life, better businesses and better homes, when we know they are no more talented or smarter than us, nevertheless, why is this divide?

People who have made it to the top, it has got nothing to do with their IQ, childhood, background and their ability to network, hence, what sets ultra-successful and mediocre apart? The answer lies in understanding that success is a science if any individual will apply that science in their life, they can learn to operate their life with peak performances in every area of their lives, therefore, the best way to define success is to describe what success means to anyone of us – how life would look like if it’s a master piece?

The key to achieving success is to understand what success means to us and then pursuing it with utmost perseverance and determination, there are 7 ways to achieve it.

  1. Peace of Mind:

The biggest baton to measure how successful anyone in life is determined by how much peace of mind one enjoys, peace of mind makes it easy for us to get along with important people in our lives. Peace enables us to have greater influence on people. Greater peace makes us more relaxed, positive and less stress will be experienced.

It is imperative that we should never be the victim of our inner voice by not following it, we should always follow our intuition or the inner voice, else, peace of mind will be the first thing to get sacrifice.

  1. Being Healthy and High Level of Energies:

Health is directly proportionate to energy, if we achieve everything in life (whatever we desire) but don’t possess good health to enjoy it, all the hard work goes down the drain as we no longer can enjoy our achievement, therefore, to be successful good diet is a must, always eat the right food in the right proportions. Health is the most important thing we have which is subject to habits we develop with regards to the way we live.

3. Be Honest:

As the saying goes “Honesty is a virtue” the biggest quality one can possess is honesty. The character we develop in life is important than virtually anything else. Honesty helps life to pivot around clear values and never compromise integrity for anyone or anything.

  1. Financial Freedom:

Financial freedom means that we have made enough money and don’t have to worry about making it, the best part would be not worrying at all about making money, most people worry about making money all the time which is the lousiest way to live. The only way to achieve financial freedom is to define the financial goals clearly and then plan to achieve those goals.

  1. Contribution to the Planet:

Contribution to the planet is not only the hallmark of successful people but also leads us to the path of greatness. Contribution can be in any form we should link contribution with our inner voice as such thoughts comes from within and whatever we feel we have learned or achieve more than required we should establish the habit of contributing.

  1. Constantly Grow:

Growing is one of the spiritual requirements (like contributing) which in my opinion should not only be acquired by successful people but anyone in life. Growing not only enrich the vision but open new avenues for ideas. If we are 50 years old and view the world the same way we did when we were 20 years old, therefore, we have wasted 30 years of our life. Individual growth is never an option but a requirement.

  1. Self-Awareness:

Self-awareness means knowing personality traits, personal values, habits, emotions and the psychological needs that drive our behavior. Successful people usually have these areas well developed which help them in effective decision making, stress management, motivating self and others. Successful people nurture self-awareness which gives them a sense who they are and vision for the person they want to become.

Everything that happens to us in future is because of the decision we made right now, however, makes it vital for us to augment the habits of successful people, the good news is, the above mentioned traits are easily learn-able but requires robust perseverance, when we learn to practice and acquire the same set of habits which made who is who, therefore, we will see our self in the same league, then…Sky is the limit!
