Define the worry situation or problem clearly preferably in writing, take a piece of paper draw a line in the middle, on left side of the page write down the clear definition, why are we worrying, proper diagnosis is the 50% of the cure. When there is a clear definition of the reason, why it’s causing the worry or stress we immediately end up taking steps to potentially solve the problem.
  1. The second point is to determine the worst possible outcome of the situation. What can worse possibly happen? Face it squarely, could you lose your job, could you lose your money, investment or could you lose a relationship whatever it is write it down on the right hand side of the page, next to the definition of the problem. The most worry is cause by resistance or the refusal/denial to face the possible that could occur. Once you have defined the worst possible outcome of the problem much of the stress will disappear and the mind will become calm and constructive again.
  1. The third step is to resolve to accept the worse, should it occur, say to, yourself, if it will happen, I will learn to live with it. The decision to accept the worse, should it occur, eliminates the worry situation from the life.

The fourth step is to begin immediately and do everything that you possibly can to make sure the worst does not occur we call this ‘minimizing the maximum worst outcome’, which leads to think positively, looking for different things to do and to take actions to minimize the worst possible outcome, this is mark of higher intelligence.

The real cure of stress or worry is always systematic and purposeful action on the achievement of a goal or the resolution of the problem. Get so busy working on your goals or solution that simply you don’t have time to worry at all and suddenly all the negative stress cause by the worry is transformed into positive stress and drives you to achieve something that you really want.
